I picked the tank up on craigslist. Better yet, it's acrylic. I e-mailed the lady and she said she thought it was a 75-90 yet gave dimensions for a 40 (I know better than to even LOOK at a tank without rough dimensions).

Ammonia .75 (between 1 and .5)
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5 (not sure if this is a read error or if I got lucky and the O media is working...)
PH 8

double dose of prime

Just an update - cycle well on it's way but frequent w/c's still happening. After a 50% last night (changing every other day) ammonia .5, nitrite .25 and nitrate a solid 5 (I guess the media from the O tank helped as I figured it would... just needed to wait on em to multiply). Funny side note - I think part of what helped is I accidentally put in too warm of water on a w/c (87 instead of the 79 they're currently at). Had the temp set but it must have crept up on me (using the recommended filling with hose while adding pre-dissolved salt method).

It is amazing how you can tell when these little buggers are upset or don't feel great with their black bellies and how quickly the bellies change back when they feel better (one of em was sulking just now but apparently is over whatever he was mad about...)

Once the cycle is complete (probably less than a week) I'll start upping salinity (currently 1.006).
