Upgrade time for Bonzo

Post by Jay.B. »

As some of you are aware, I have been keeping my GSP in only a 17G tank (he is still only just over 2")

Well these last couple of days I have been looking at various upgrading options available to me, mainly on the second hand market, Ebay is such a fantastic place.

tonight I bought a 47G/180L Jewel Rio 180 with cabinet, have been to have a look at it and put a deposit down, I pick it up on Saturday Morning WOOHOO!!

I know a couple of folks on here that I have been talking to will breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Bonzo is finally going to get the spacious home he so rightly deserves.

it's a fair few years old, but it's in great condition and everything works, and if my measurements are correct, it will just squeeze in the space where my 2 tanks are at the moment, needless to say my freshwater set-up is going, so if anybody wants a redeye puffer ... ... And at some point over the next few weeks, I'll be needing to find a home for my bumble bee gobies as I'll be starting to raise the salinity further than the 1.009 it is at currently, starting the long road to marine YAY!!
I'll put up pictures as and when I get it and start the change over, it's one of only 2 things getting me through this unbelievably walrus day...

Rip out the filter, volume is calculated with it in place then youll have a bit more and no ugly box in the corner. Then go external. You know you want to. :D

I will see about that when I get it, I was going to go external anyway with a fluval 205 and keep the jewel one running as well just in case, then just to be completely anal I was going to keep the fluval 2 plus internal running so I can keep it cycled for my soon to be quarantine tank when it hits marine status :mwave:
