Wilbur, my Valentini Puffer... :(

Post by SpockthePuffer »

Hi everyone,
I haven't been around in awhile because I've been feeling pretty "blah" About three weeks ago, my Valentini Wilbur died. He was fine in the morning but when I got home from work he was sucked into the powerhead :'( (which I now have a cover over so that won't happen again) Its not even that powerful of a powerhead but it was enough I guess. I feel guilty because he was perfectly healthy and could have had a nice long life but he was killed because of my stupidity. I just didn't think any of the fish would swim near that part of the powerhead and everything had been fine for so long....

I miss Wilbur a lot and I'm still very sad about the whole thing. The tank just isn't the same anymore :(

He was my little baby and it makes me cry just thinking about him...

Anyways, here are some pictures of my Wilburdoodle so we can all remember how wonderful he was

I'm so sorry! :( I know excatly how you feel. I have a porc that's having problems right now. I have been working on her for almost a month. If she passes I won't get another porc. She's my baby...She always looks like she has a smile on her face and you just can't help but smile back. She makes my day "everyday". I have 3 other puffers with all different personalities. Don't tell them but she's my favorite. Are you going to get another puffer? Was Wilbur your only one? I don't think I can keep a tank without any puffers. :(

I'm really sorry to hear that I know how you feel. I lost my f8 recently and the worst part is I knew he was going to die he wasn't swimming or anything so I thought I would clean the tank one last time to try and save him. I had my hand in the tank and I thought he was going to bite me but I stayed really still and he came over and kissed my finger. Just a little tap and then he went to the bottom and I turned off the light and when I turned it on he was gone. I was crushed! Your puffer was so beautiful and I hope you will get another one that will help keep his memory alive and hopeful lift your sprits!
