my puffers new tank mates ( a happy story)

so i know a puffer isnt the best thing to have tank mates with but my figure 8s are rather nice to the bumble bee gobys i have them with so i saw a pair of knight gobys being abused ( one of my lfs had them in with a baby jack demsi that was smaller then them but apperntly a fan of fins ) so after rescueing them from under there rock ( which i did with out thinking) i had to figure out what tank had room for them and which tank they would be happyest in so i stuck them in with my puffers and BB gobys and sat there watching my tank for about 3 hours ( fun to do any way) and the gobys are fitting right in im still lokking out for any problems but there roughly the same size as the puffers and dont seem to care about each other the only difference i have noticed is that the puffers are alot more couply ( im possible to tell if there a boy and girl but they diffently swim around nap and do every thing else with each other) as are the bb gobys it seems its worked out and the tank seems way less empy now and every body seems happy so it seems all is going well but it does seem that puffers and gobys cna be friends

This is a classic combination. I had Tetraodon biocellatus for years with gobies, all kinds of gobies and they were longtime friends. Congrats on your new fish!

thanks the only thing im realy nerviouse is how appealing a bbg might be to a possible hungry knight goby ( i hav3e been warned they could eat each other on other forums

Yeah, that's always a concern when keeping small fish with larger fish. Keep them on a consistent feeding schedule, that should cut down on any unauthorized snacking.

yeah and they are there feed 6 days a week ( so i dont over feed) right after the light goes on there feed so well i not only have gost shrimp living in the tank but im pretty sure there breedign in there to ( the gost shrimp numbers get a little slim on the day i dont feed them ( the gobys will share a few and the puffers will eat on or 2 a peice)
