Abei

Post by Happy_Puffer »

Does anyone know where I can find an Abei on the internet that will ship in the US? I can't find on anywhere around me, I have called everywhere and I would really like a fw puffer. Thanks!

Where are you located? We have a hairy puffer at my LFS.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

20 or 30 miles outside of St. Louis. Is an Abei the same as a hairy puffer? Maybe I will try asking for that if thats what they call them. I thought that hairy puffers and Abei were two different puffers? None of my lfs really carry f/w puffers I can't even find dwarf puffers except at petsmart and they stopped selling them when I bought their last ones about 5 months ago. I don't want one right now because I don't have a tank big enough for one but I would like to look at some or know a place where I can find one.

Hi

hey ain't the same, as reflected in the price tag, the hairy (Bailylei) will be up to ten times the price of the
abei....... however, owning an abei is a great experience, they are very interactive and are a great introduction
to the world of "bigger" puffers. I live in UK so can't help you find one in us, but my advice is to keep
looking for an abei.

Good luck

They are 2 different species but similar in behaviour & "coolness". I thought you might be interested in the other one, since both are difficult to find.

I really like the way the Abeis look. I don't know much about them but I am doing research about them so when/if I find one I will know how to care for them the proper way. I have been looking online and I haven't found any or even found a price on one. But its ok as I don't have a tank for one yet thanks for all the help.

Consider finding a store that's within an hour's drive and see if they can order you one. It might be easier (and cheaper) than trying to find it online (since you have to pay for shipping)! :)

Ya I am still trying to find some pet shops around here that have one but I haven't yet. Most of the stores around here don't even want to order puffers so thats a bummer!
