Puffer attacking the dog??

Post by blondenblue »

Hi, i work up this morning hearing tapping on glass when i sat up my dog was stood next to the puffer tank waiting for me to get up and Puffle was attacking the glass trying to get the dog. anyone got any ideas why he would be doing this? hungry? suddenly found his feet (fins) and getting brave? or trying to defend himself?

Cheers

 sounds like a feisty puffer to me. Maybe its jealous that you don't cuddle it in the same wasy as the dog? I would think that ots maybe a defensive thing and should calm down soon enough

Whatever the emotion is, it sounds cute. :)
Perhaps he is angry that your dog won't feed him. :)

hi

our dalmatian seem fascinated by our puff, she apends ages sitting in front of sherman's tank watching him,
guess because he moves slowly and stares back she doesn't find him intimidating, she takes no notice
of my wife's community tank with all the little chaps darting about.

the puffer seems pretty cool about the spotty one staring at him !!

I dont think the dog has even realised the puffer is there, she only has one eye and was stood the eyeless side facing the tank. we have 8 tanks at the moment, she doesn't take any notice of any of them. saying that the only thing she does take an interest in is the postman and her dinner! lol. The cat on the other hand has taken a liking to the 100G comunity tank coz he can sit on the top and hang over the edge.

When we first got Harry he reacted the worst to our Catahoula dog. He would curl his tail and back up real fast.
But he will go nose to nose so to speak with our little dog. These puffers are really special.
