Cloudy Water

No I only unplug the filter when I do w/c's the little orange light is on and I hope it warms up but I don't think so when I got home again the temo was in between 76 and 78 so I am keeping my eye on it. The little light has been on everytime I walk in the room so maybe its my thermometer but that would be bad since I have the heat on I don't want to make the same mistake twice but the water doesn't feel hot but I am keeping my eye on it.

That sux it's not the heater came unplugged.

One thing to keep in mind with our beautiful fish...back up equipment is important to have on hand. Filters, heaters, Q tank ect...could be our fishes lifeline if one of these things goes out. I have been in this hobby for nearly 5 months now and still have not been able to invest in these extra items. Hell, I still need to afford a brackish set up which on DFS will cost around $100.00 for a few things plus a large bucket of salt and container to mix in.
I have had heaters that don't hold a steady temp or wont go up. I hate that these items are sold and do not do the job!
Keep watching your water parameters (critical for your tank at this point) and do water changes when needed. Keep up all the hard work. You are doing what you can. The meds are not helping with the tank cycling, that is making it more of a challenge for you.

Thank you StormySkiez. I never thought when I got this fish tank that it was going to be such a pain! But its so worth it. I love my little friend (whom I haven't named yet because when I do it seems to be the kiss of death!) He has been here a week and things seem to be looking up(hopefully) I think his ich is gone hopefully this temp change in the water won't be bad enough to give him ich again and I have already treated for IPs and he is eating and swimming and looks to be happy. I checked my heater today and the temp is back up to 78 at least that good. I was going to buy one today but I had a dr appointment and then I wanted to come home and check it and it seems to be going back up. Thank goodness! But then when I was getting ready to leave for the lfs (my new job) and then my boss called and told me I needed to work tomorrow so I thought that I would just wait since the temp was steady! Thank you so much for all you help!!
