There was a mention of a veggie filter, what exactly is a veggie filter?
<80 gal> 2 GSPs & a Ceylon!

Just a thought, but say you wehre using a veggie filter, could you use that as a tank to grow pond snails or ramshorns in at the same time?

Yup, most of my veggie filters have snails as cleaning crews, and they are harvested for puffer food as well.
