the homemade stuff is pretty hardcore. like I said earlier, I did some dumb art with a hot needle and I wish I'd just waited to get a decent tattoo

Re: Show Your Tatts!
Odd!
i was just doodling around with puffer designs to see if I could make one work as a tattoo, and now I see there's a whole thread about it.
I was considering asking 'stainedskin' (or his avatar is something like that) about designing one, as he's a tattoo artist i seem to remember. (He owns a mbu...)
I got one looking good, but it's very chunky, and looks very punked, and i wanted something a bit softer....
i'll see if I can get it online somehow...
everyone should design one, see what comes out...

here you go...
this is as far as I got...

but it's not right, too cartoony...
don't want it to look real, but this is not stylised enough...

Changing the line width is always the first thing I do after I draw out a sketch, it makes it stylized and more interesting to look at. Also breaking the line up a bit so its not all connected.

Im a little disapointed.
I didnt read the title right, didnt realise you said TATTS!
That will teach me to get my hopes up! J/K
Nice Tatts. Im not into them, not for the pain as much as the fact that I know I would hate it in 10 years. Only way I get a Tat is in memory of a lost love one and that hasnt happened yet thank heavens.

Re: Show Your Tatts!
Well, its older now and faded, but my lower back:

No real meaning to it, I went along more as moral support. My best friend had just found out her hubby had been cheating on her for almost a year and got the girl pregnant, so she decided she was going to do all the things she'd wanted to do but hadn't because he didn't want her to... she came out of it with a pierced tongue as well, that I did not get, hehe! But I went along for the tattoo.
I like the design, the sun and the way the colors blend, but I might end up getting some sort of a coverup type of a thing at some point. I just hate to spend the $$ on something I can't even see (lower back). My original plan was to do a whole back tattoo of a phoenix rising out of the ashes, with its wings spread across my shoulders.. but thats a ton of $$, and I have other priorities at the moment.

Re: Show Your Tatts!
The crazy thing is, she stayed with him and they are now happily married with two kids, a house and I've never seen either of them this content. Its been almost 7, 8 years since it happened to, and he did have his reasons.. she was so addicted to online gaming it wasn't funny.
I think he just needed a good swift kick to remind him of the rights and wrongs, and she did as well (to get her off the gaming thing)... it doesn't happen often but I guess sometimes a couple CAN get past that stuff.
