Re: I BEEN FOOLED!!!
DP's and SAPs are the only ones I've ever seen on long island, sadly. And I've quested through most of suffolk and nassau. I did see a red eye in a private collection once, but no idea if it came from an LI pet store. It's MUCH easier to find GSP, F8, and a whole variety of SW puffers here. I've also only ever seen SAP ONCE, and it was the one time they were on the list at the pet store where I work now. They are a seasonal fish, seems they are never consistantly available. DPs' are the only "Puffer for a ten gallon" as well, and I thought you'd decided on that setup, but if you wouldn't mind a much larger tank and ordering fish online, you could do MUCH more with FW.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

Really? I've seen Fahakas, pignose and abei at my LFS, along with a few others I couldn't identify at the time I saw them. I think another store has an Irrubesco right now but it's in pretty bad shape.Nick wrote:DP's and SAPs are the only ones I've ever seen on long island, sadly. GET HIM. I never see them out here. In one summer I think we(my ex and I) hit about 30 stores. Also, it would be awesome if you put the location of any stores with anything other than GSP, F8 and the common SW puffers, in the puffer locator, LI is hurting for puffers, lol.
