Got a call from the LFS today. Apparently they got a ton of new fish and they had no room for the last Fangs puffer that they had left over from that tank of like 12. I have 1 of them already. They probably killed at least 1/2 of them because they had all 12 in a tank no bigger than 30G. Many of them were missing parts of either their fins or faces. Anyways, I guess the figured they would give up and let good ol' Umbrella have a try at fixing him up. They were $11.95 each, and they just gave him to me for free.

But now here is my problem... I have 4 total. The original 3 I had were fine in a very spacious 55G. Now I have no choice but to divide them into 2 and 2 or 3 and 1. Like I said, the original 3 get along just fine.. but thats because there is a lot of space. This new guy was trouble off the bat. You should have seen it. New guy slowly crept toward the smallest of the other 3, then he stared him down. He pointed his head down towards the bottom of the tank and his tail was toward the top, so he was nearly vertical in the water. His eyes were focused on the little fangs puff as he charged him. As soon as I saw that I grabbed my net ( just in case he got any funny ideas, I could distract him ) and as I reached for it, one of the other originals displayed this same behavior right back at the new guy. So it was a show of muscle in a triangle. I was scared lol, I separated em cause I needed sleep, but I'll be sure to let them play together again soon. I was kinda hoping they might mate.. but that wasn't even close to mating. That was straight up, "Get out of my grill, punk!" follwed by, "Yo! WTF man? You best back up off him!" hehe.
At least they know when to quit

I'd separate the newbie with a divider, probably, no reason to risk disturbing the peace.

but it was his own fault for disturbing the peace. I am going to go get my camera and take some photos of them all. So, maybe later tonight some of you will take a look in my gallery at the Fangs puffer section. I just usually like to get a second opinion ( or more ) on whether or not he looks like a Fangs to you guys.
