saltwater or freshwater test kits?

I am in the process of getting my little guy to .005 or so and Im at .002 at the moment. I bought a salt water liquid test kit and my puffer senses are going off because every time I check his parameters they are nearly perfect and well I just think they may be wrong.

Anywho my question, as stated in my subject, is at .002 do I use a saltwater test kit or a fresh water test kit. Thanks!

Some would say freshwater seeing as the salinity is so low.
I personally use SW kits because I have more SW tanks than FW.
IMO there isn't a bigdifference between the two. But that is my opinion.

I also use a SW kit to test my low end brackish tank since I have a sw tank to test as well.

I've never really given this much thought, my test kits come with two different charts, one for fresh water and another for saltwater. I just compare the two but usually there is little noticable difference between the two..
