Well, that means that it's not certain at all that you have problems. Test strips are very unaccurate. You can't trust the results at all. Stop using the Amquel, it will prevent your tank from cycling correctly. Do More water changes if your parameters are off. Same with the buffer--stop using it. A pH of 8 is fine. Get yourself good, seperate, liquid test kits, the strips are garbage, eespecially all-in-1.

Ok i got a liquid test kit today and everything tested great all levels were at 0 and the Ph was about 7.4 . There was not a specific alkalinity test but im to assume that if the Ph is normal the alkalinity should be too. Thanks all. I was going crazy trying to get my tank in order. I wish i would have know to do that first, probably would have saved the fishies a lot of stress and me some money!!
