I'm curious- How many people on the forum have or have had an A. Modestus? I don't think that they're that rare, but I've only seen two. I used clove oil to cut mine, but other members might suggest finquel (Spelling?)
I have a little snailtank and put small ones to the puffers, they test bite but havent seen any eating. I hope they eats them when im not looking.
I have 3 and they are about 2,5-3 cm long and crusing around like kings. My compact camera sucks and the result gets blurry but a friend to my got a new better camera i try to get him here to photo them.
I found that article about cutting teeth, playing doctor
Should i cut (if they dont grind it down natrually) when the teeth look long or start having trouble eating? How long should the teeth be before cutting?

How big is that tank? They would be better off in a long tank than a tall one. They may be fine growing up together but do not replace any if one dies or add any new ones after this. They will kill any new modestus added.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
This tank is about 95 liters, (you right the tank is pretty tall) I have 3 tanks and hope that my puffer friend can live here. This might be to small? Allways to little space. I have 3 tanks (my girlfriend and me have a community tank 225 liters) AND A TANGANYIKA Tank 235 liters. I want to get more water to my passion, but if they start to hate each other i try to fix it (new tank) but our space is shrimping. My passion is puffer and shell dwellers.
Take care i just come from my poker game tonight ( In Stockholm, Sweden)

Daniel, Where are you from? In my opinion, your tank (about 25 gallons) is only large enough for 1 of these as an adult. Especially, since it is so tall. Certainly not large enough for 3 of them. They grow to 4 inches.
