My figure 8 has started to take a liking to flake food. I found this to be bizarre but there you go. I feed flake to the tank twice a week for my knight gobies just to give them a varied diet. The puffer always used to spit them out but for the last few weeks he zips around the top trying to get a few in before the gobies. He even eats spirulina flake which I guess is a good thing since veggies can't be bad every once in a while. I try and lure him away from the flake with a tempting snail or shrimp while the gobies get their fill. lol I just find it quite odd.
The question is, should I just stop feeding flake to the gobies and stick with krill, squid and fishy foods (and the occassional crushed snail if they can get to it in time)? I'm not sure I like the thought of the figure 8 eating flake. It just doesn't seem right or natural.

My SAP got a taste for granulated fish food. I got a packet free with a fish magazine, and after tasting a few and spitting it out, he was crunching them down super-fast!
I don't think there is a problem as long as the F8 is still mostly eating whatever diet you feel is best. A little bit of flake food can't do any harm, they are meant to be a "complete" diet after all.
