Ageing my puffer.. anyone know?

I got my 1st fahaka puffer last week from the lfs. He is about 2 1/2 inches now... anyone have any clue how old he may be? I read that they typically grow 1in a month for the first year so would he be 2 1/2 months old?

Probablly some where around there. probablly closer to 3 months, what size tank is he in?

Right now he is in a 75g but we are setting up a 150g for him probably next week.. but i have only had him 4 days.

for larger growing fish like puffers and koi and cichlids, its always always been for me an inch a month, just round it off...hes about 3 months
