Re: How big is your GSP and how long have you had it.
Mr. Fattykins is also about 6 inches (with tail) long and he grew really unbelievably fast! He's 3 1/2 years old now. We got him in early July 2004 at about 1.5 inches and by November 2004 he was already 5 inches (w/tail). After reaching 5 inches, he grew a lot more slowly.

I suspect he was a true baby puffer who arrived to the pet store and was then sold to us very soon after being caught (so absolutely no stunting), since his siblings, Chunkypuff and Mishe Mishe, who are just a few months older are still only 3 inches with tail (they also started at 1.5 inches). I don't think they'll ever reach their full size, since they have always grown so slowly.

Re: How big is your GSP and how long have you had it.
He looks huge next to the measure tape.
That's one very nice looking puffer. I was checking out your pictures and seen one with Mr. Fattykins on the bottom and one of your other puffer a few inches above him. You can really see the difference in size. I hope you don't mind but I copied the link to that picture so everyone can see. Can you tell us how small the little guy is? That is one great picture, it give a great visual of how big they get.
Here is a great photo from marfisa's gallery. Make sure you check it out if you want to see the difference between a small puffer and a 6" puffer. Very nice shot!

That's Mishe Mishe with him. He's probably 2 to 2.5 inches in that picture. Mishe Mishe and Chunkypuff are in a 55gallon now, because a while after Mr. Fattykins exploded in size, he started picking on them and one night he bit Mishe Mishe really badly.

Pondbottom is about 3 and a half inches long, he still has some growing to do. He is a little over a year old now.

I've had Chomper for almost a year now and he was 1.5 inches when we got him, and he's still 1.5 inches. Okay maybe 1.6 inches, it doesn't seem like he's grown much. That's crazy fattykins grew so much so fast !!

Re: How big is your GSP and how long have you had it.
Well. I'd like to say I have 2 different kinds...if you will. But really I have nothing to back that up with. So, uh.. you do the math
Greenie #1 : 3 inches, had him for 6 months. Grew very little in my care. Still growing ? Dunno. >.<

Greenie #2 : 5.5 inches, had him for 2 months. He came this big. >.<

Sabahensis : For comparison if you have not seen one. 6 inches, had him for same amount of time as Greenie #2.

And because I'm feeling silly, I'm going to throw in the itty bitty ones from Wal-fart. 1 inches. Yes, ... 1 inches.

So... what do you think ? lol.

This is a shot of Bonzo, looking at the pics I took last night, it's hard to believe he is just over an inch long, and he has the cutest smile
(that's if he is a he, I still can't tell...)
