zebra puffers

Hi there,
I was in my LFS yesterday and they had in what they called zebra puffers. I knew immediately that they weren't that because I hadn't heard of them. However, having looked in pufferpedia they look exactly like red eye puffers. They had 3, all in seperate tanks and they were about and inch and a half.
It says that they are quite rare in LFS, is this true? What are they like?
I have a 63USgallon tank which I'm about to put my 2 SAPs in. I was going to add another 3 SAPs, but have been thinking about others that I can put in there. I was thinking about DPs (how many do you think?) but do you think that these red eyed puffers will work?

You might get lucky, but chances are they will bully the SAPs.

Zebra Puffers are generally the common name for Carinotetraodon Salivator. I wouldn't even recommend trying them with other fish, i had a male which literally tried to eat through a transparent tub to get at the plec floating in it.

My male was very aggressive, bit me on more than one occasion, very rare and generally retail between 20-40quid per fish.

On top of that my male was rather like a Target Puffer and only popped out to see if i had food, if not, off he went again...not a puffer you will see much.

thanks for the replies. Guess I will just stick with the 5 SAPs then. There is going to be some mass dentistry going on

Dark Entity sums the fish up nicely. Very aggressive. Needs to be kept alone and very nocturnal. You won't see them during the day.

mine used to very active, probably coz I had a planted tank that provide much cover with very overgrown plants....

he bit everything including steel pincers...
