More Puffer Friendly?

Post by lferg »

I was trying to make my tank a bit more puffer friendly. I can't do live plants. They just seem to hate me and die when ever I get near. Anyway, yo guys think this will make the puffers happier? Think they will stop swimming with their nose against the glass now? I still am putting a background on but Big Al's Online is taking forever to ship.

Looks good. You can also get a background from a LFS if you choose. I have one for my Fahaka tank and it has lots of rocks and a natural looking background that blends in with the real rocks and plants that I have. :D

nice! :D

... if you can't get the back ground, then some regular black construction paper/poster board will help. It' helps comfort fish... not sure why.

Thanks. I have one, among other things, on order. Just taking a while to get here for some reason.

if ur problem is with live plants, the most common issue is that u do not have soil....most plants require soil.

if you have the time to do up the tank or at least a semi-major overhaul, try putting artifical soil into plastic containers with holes (like a UNUSED soap dish), plant the roots of the plants in using pincers (easier and neater) then cover with existing sand.
