Rescue fish- confusion

Post by t1gerbee »

So, he's about an inch long... and had been in with two banded puffers who had battered him right up. He has almost no tail and a big chunk out of his side...

They had put him into a net hatcher inside the tank to 'protect' him from further attacks!

Anyway, convinced them to give him to me.. he's now in a 10G with melafix... hos belly is now white and he's eating well... so hopefully he'll begin to mend!

But.. what is he....?

I'll get pic if I can...

I'm sure he's a green spot puff, as he has the perfectly round spots on his top... and a white belly, but i'm confused because he does have spots in his white, they are faded, but they are definitely there... They go down his sides and then across his belly...

Do GSP have faded spots... or are they just pure white?

If not, what else could he be....

His spots are regular, not irregular so I don't see how it can be a giant spotted...

?

Sounds like a GSP. Might be an unusual color morph or something but it's probablly a GSP.

that's strange. Mine occasionally have gray splotches on it's sides if it's mad at me, or if it just woke up, but not spots...

He didn't make it. :-(

Guess he was just too bad...

Odd, he was fine, swimming round, chasing a river shrimp a bit...

then 2 hours later i went in and he was completely bleached, sat on the floor. Very nearly dead.

At least I tried.

Awww that's so sad. Too bad you couldn't get him out of there sooner. But at least you tried and his last few days were happy days. I am so sorry. :(
