2 SAPs, 5 otos in 100L tank
1 SAP will not keep his weight on. I have trimmed his teeth and wormed the tank with fluvenol-15. He is pooing (brown, assume that is normal) and is fed frozen mysis, bloodworms, live artema and/or snails everyday. The other SAP is a lovely shape, but this one is smaller and has always been harder to feed. He gets preoccupied with me being in front of the tank than his food unless it drifts past him. However I have overcome this and he eats plenty, gets a little bulging belly, which doesn't go skinny straight away but he just isn't putting the weight on.
I have had them for 8 months and he's always been the thinner, smaller and more hyperactive one out of the 2. Just wanted to check if this is sometimes common?
He's not emaciated, just doesn't have as much weight as the other one and I think he could do with a bit more.

Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

I think deworming him again might be a good idea. There is a chance that not all the worms died and are now coming back.

I have two under two inch GSP's in a 55g. One is about a half inch bigger then the other. The bigger gsp is always so worried about the other gsp that he does not always get as much food as the smaller gsp. There are times I can get the smaller one away so the larger one can feed more. Even when I do that they both will look nice and plump, but the larger gsp's belly will go down faster then the smaller gsp's. Both gsp's look healthy. Mine have never looked identical belly wise 
. And I can see that both gsp's are growing.
Brown poo sounds normal. Are your sap's about the same size? Can you post pics?

okay, will do another worming now.
Will try to get pics, but they are so quick and my digital camera is lost at the moment, so will have to be on the mobile.
The skinnier one is a little smaller, he always was, but they are definately growing, so that can't be a bad thing.

I am still in the belief that internal patasites must be treated internally.

I did my flubenol treatment over 4 weeks and noticed a great improvement immediately after the 1st dose. Doing over a few weeks will give you a greater chance of catching any parasites that might not have hatched and missed out on the first dosing.
