stars and stripes puffed!

Post by t1gerbee »

and i was in bed half asleep so didn't get any pictures, damn, damn, damn!

couldn't believe it! (i switch his Q tank light on as soon as i'm awake cos i worry he'll be dead)

but no, not dead, buzzing round... (always a joy to see!)

lay back in bed wishing i didn't have to go to work.. and then when i opened my eyes a good 10 minutes later...he just started puffing himself up!

thought he had just spread his tail but then he floated round and he was really puffed! He puffed up, then went down, then really puffed up fully... for about 30 seconds.. then went down again. He looked amazing, all his white stripes spread across his huge belly... looked mad.

Guess he was just testing his equipment, and it works really well!

need to keep camera by tank, must try and catch him doing it again, if he ever chooses too!

Awesome it's so cool when puffers puff.

I do love him... does scare me how big he could get.. i'm sure he's already grown in two weeks... although that could be him just stretching out after being ich infested for so long at LFS...!

But his face is amazing, even more expressive than most puffs... right up there with porcs.

No white spots for 5 days now, so not long to go now, (hopefully!) Must be patient, must be patient....

He'll go in a 50G for a while, (he's only 2cm long)

then eventually, assuming all is well, i may break down my oscar tank and put him in there...

or maybe I will have convinced myself by then that i'm brave enough for a bigger marine tank...

only time will tell!

You better keep that camera strapped to your wrist! I want to see a stars and stripes puffed! I think they are soo beautiful and puffed would be even crazier.

I thought mine was going to puff one day but he was actually blowing substrate out from under a rock to make himself a little bed. It was quite an amazing sight to witness. And yes...they are so darn cute! :smitten:
