Congo feeding
Congo feeding
So I will probably be getting a Congo puffer. Ive done allot of research, but i still don't know exactly what to feed them. Crabs, prawn, shrimp....what about at a young age? they cant eat a big crab when there so small obviously. I live in the middle of a big city where food for fish and just about everything is readily available. But I would like to here from a Congo owner on how they feed there congos and where they get there food from. I want to make sure i know what i'm getting into before making the plunge into congo parent hood. oh yeah and how many times a week/day to feed them for every age of the puffer. Btw im going to get a 20g long tank, maybe even 30g.I'm going to get some starter fish and cycle it and such so no worry there. Also no tank mates for this guy i'm assuming?

I was thinking i could feed it freeze dried krill,(i would get a stick to dangle it right above his head), ghost shrimp(alive),Snails,Maybe 1 live crab a week(does it matter what type of crab?). But what about when there young? maybe bloodworms when hes young and smaller krill?

Try live/frozen blood/blackworms & FD plankton, small pieces of people shrimp. It's going to take a while to adjust ot dead foods.

Instead of people shrimp could i soak the FD krill and do that? I have jumbo krill and regular krill.
