Redecorating with a theme
Redecorating with a theme
OK.. so the first thing on my list of new year tank changes is 95% complete. The night lights work so all I have left there is to sand the led's and thats done. We go on to #2...decor.
Currently my tank is a mish-mash of various things and fake plants collected over my years of having fish. The time has come that I must rethink the new decor. What theme should my tank have is the big question. Do you have a theme to your tank? something unique that sets it apart from the rest? Is there something you have that keeps your F8's extremely happy? Mine is a 55g and I'm thinking like one main structure in the center, and two small structures on each side. fake plants, big and small, in the front and back to add to the depth of the tank.Currently I have 2 f8's (that are awesome) and I'm gonna get a third hopefully tonight. I'm debating on one dragon or a few butterfly gobies to round out the tank.
Any unique ideas out there?

I always liked the roman empire scene. The pillars and the little statues, even an underwater mausoleums. You can also do the ancient Egyptian scene, with the pyramids and vases and sarcophagus'. I think that would be neat.

maybe some kind of like amazon setup. you could use your plastic plants and then maybe like a lost civilization temple or something else cool like that. and caves too.
... or maybe a library scene. take a bunch of books and toss them in there. maybe with a plant or two.
... jk, I couldn't think of anything else

My sweet hubby gives our dog a handfull of his Cheerios every morning. I'd kill him if he fed them to our fish though!
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: Redecorating with a theme
I was thinking about doing a beach theme.......with 2 substrates - white sand, and blue little stones.
So sand all over the bottom......and then blue over 1/2 of the sand and it would kinda look like a beach.
And i was thinking..... can you put little martini drunk umbrellas in a tank? Cuz that could be a little beach umbrella haha.
And then of course some seashells or something.
Long story short - beach theme!
haha or super mario world !- with tubes and stuff ? or anything other video game scene.....
Or a treasure scene! Like a sunken pirate ship.....and little treasure chests and coins and stuff all over.....
I was gunna say the possibilities are endless but... I think it kinda comes down to.....what can you put in a tank, that's not meant for a tank?
