Looking at getting myself 6 maybe more of these for my rio 240.
Its home to two comon plecs, two catfish and a large iridescent shark i think this will have to go though.
Will my tank be big enough?
Would like maybe another two plecs not common ones though?

6 SAPs would need at least 65 (US)gallons preferablly more. Also be prepared to file there teeth.

Re: South American Puffers
I'm about to get a rio 240 and am going to place my 2 SAPs in there and add another 3, but I will also have another external filter running along with the juwel one, these fish get messy. I house mine with otos at the moment, but might get a couple of smaller plecs, to give me something else to look at
Re: South American Puffers
Was thinking i better get an external as ive heard there pretty messy was gonna get http://www.1st4aquatics.com/tetratec-ex-1200-2130-p.asp
Seems like a pretty good filter for a good price

Re: South American Puffers
yeah my tetratec is brilliant, it is completely silent as well, unlike another external that I have, but that is going be sold with the puffer's current tank, once I upgrade.
