C.Irrubesco or South American Puffer or DPs
Today i went down to a LFS which is about 20mins from my house and guess what, they sell puffers that other LFS here in SIngapore doesn't. THey have GSPs for sale at 90cents, DPs at 80cents, SAP at $18 and Irrubesco at $1.50. I'm interested in getting some freshwater puffers for my 20g tank. Can anyone advise me on which puffers to buy? The SAP there looks really cute and healthy. Irrubescos have nice colouring and the small dwarfs are really cute.

The decision should be based on what tank requirements they need and what you have to offer. You can fit 1 Irrubesco in the tank or 1 SAP or 4 DPs or No GSPs.
Ideally, it is nice to have a few SAPs in a tank since they do seem to "school". However, your tank isn't big enough.
So really, it may be between the Irrebesco or 4 DPs... That would be totally up to you. Depends on what you expect from the fish and which one is going to please you more.
The pufferpedia is loaded with info as well as the puffer library. At the top of the menu bar you will see "Home / Discuss / Learn / Share... etc" Hover your mouse over "learn" and you will find both links there. Maybe search for each puffer on the forum to read what others have said about each puffer.
Obviously your tank needs to be FULLY cycled before you start adding puffers since they are highly sensitive to ammonia & nitrites. Make sure the water pH fits the fish, and more importantly, stable for the fish. Just adding this in here if your tank isn't FULLY cycled. You want to set at least 2 weeks, but more like a month to ensure your tank is fully cycled. In the Puffer Library is a great article about Fishless Cycling. (Again, I'm saying this just incase your tank isn't cycled yet)

$18 for a SAP sounds pretty high. I think you should get 1 irrubesco.
