I'm not too far from you (Staffs), and regularly shop at maidenhead aquatics Newport (Shrops) for bits n bobs,,less than an hour from you. They recently had a shipment of small GSP, all looked ok but were in freshwater, my 2 F8's came from there and fins crossed no problems. About a month ago they had another batch of GSPs, these were quite large and very ropey, guy in shop said they sometimes just come like this, but said they do get regular supplies of GSP. Worth a visit if you still looking, hope this helps. Its within the grounds of Mere Park Garden Centre on the A41. Merry Christmas x

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have decided to order one from Wildwoods when the weather warms up a bit. I will keep on perusing the forum for tips in the meantime, my ambition is to work my way up to keeping a porcupine marine puffer. Merry xmas

You can start cycling your tank about 2 weeks before you think the puffer is coming. See the Fishless Cycling article in our Library. Be sure to find out the specific gravity they have the puffer at, wherever you are getting it from & cycle at that SG.

Thank u for your advice, the tank has been cycling with Mollies in it for three months now SG 1.005 I thought this was brackish but on the safe side as I can increase it if needed and when I see the size of my GSP. Mollies have a good home waiting for them.

I'm glad you'll be moving the mollies. Most folks don't understand they need to move the fish presently in a tank, if they plan on adding more bioload.
