slim puffer?

slim puffer?
hi i have a south american puffer about an inch long. i am just wondering about his belly. it's not as round as i see other puffer. it only gets round when it eats. can someone please explain why it is like this?

Thats generally how it is, stays plump and slowly decreases and by the next day its just a little plump.
What are you feeding him and have you treated him for IPs? Also

SAP's have that more slender streamlined shape than some of the other puffers, but then again they tend to be a lot more active constantly swimming.
