Has your puffer ever puffed?
I was just wondering if any of you have ever had your puffer puff. I know that you would never intentionally cause your puffer to puff, but has he/she ever puffed on his/her own, or another tank mate caused him/her to puff up? Have you ever accidentally made it puff? Worse, puffed in air? Just wondering.

I used to have a dwarf puffer in a 20G, and I accidentally sucked onto him with my siphon, and he started to puff. I felt terrible for a couple of days, but he seemed to be just fine.

Re: Has your puffer ever puffed?
In an old 10g setup I had, I was keeping 3 DP's, and the male bit one of the females at feeding time making her puff.
It was weird because he wouldn't let go and was pinching the skin even when she was puffed. Poor girl survived though.
So far, I've never seen my irrubesco's puff. I know they bite each other from time to time because Nikolai was showing off a new bite mark on his back the other day and he was freaked out all day.
He's calmed down a lot and his bite mark is healing.

My juvenile porc puffed twice on his own, I was told they sometime practice puffing when they are young.

My juvie burrfish will puff if someone startles her, or she doesn't know them. Every time my mom comes over and looks at her she puffs for some reason.
