55 Gallon GSP Tank

I have two 1 1/2 inch gsp's in a 55 gallon tank. I'm not clear on if I can add maybe two more smaller fish, perhaps clown fish eventually after I have added the necessary marine salt. Or perhaps two other brackish water fish. What I need to know is my 55 gallon too small to add anything else that may get along with my gsp's.

With good filtration, LR and LS, you could probablly add clowns or something along those lines.

I've added other fish here and there....but they don't do very well because they're freshwater fish.....and right now my puffer is low end brackish.....

I've tried a cory....they cory tried to be friends or something with my 1.5 inch GSP haha....it kept coppying my puffer! My puffer didn't bother it. I had 3 tiger barbs in there, they schooled together and again, the puffer left them alone.
....until I took one out and put it back in....then he eat the tiger barb! I think he thought I was feeding him....
and I had a feeder guppy in there for months.....until again, I took it out and plopped it back in, and he ate it lol.

I had gourami in there for maybe 5 months, but I just put it in my freshwater tank.....

My GSP has never nipped any fins

Puffers are some tricky, hard devils to have in a beginners tank. I would never advise anyone to start with learning about tanks with puffers.

I'm going to check the web and post a few other tank companion fish ideas to see if my 55 gallons is large enough to house them all safely.

I have decided not to add anything else to the tank at this point because I don't want to cramp the tank with more fish although it looks like there is plenty of room for more. I read somewhere on this site Pufferpunk said that 55 gallons is a little cramped for the two gsp's alone.

55 gallon is the recommended absolute minimum for 2 GSP's, some say that 1 can occupy a 55 gallon and it not look empty. In terms of gallonage it should support 2 GSP's.

I was thinking the same thing. I was doing 50% weekly WC on my 55g to keep nitrates down below 40. That's 10 cups of $$$alt/week.
