Arothron Stellatus... Who has one raise your hand!
Re: Arothron Stellatus... Who has one raise your hand!
I'm just having some fun!
Heres the story.... We go to the Gaylord palms Hotel in Orlando evry now and then. There is a resturaunt there named Sunset Sams that had a large tank with a porcupine puffer named Louie. He was about 20 inches long. We went back to the returaunt and found Louie got sick and died. I thought immediately if they wanted a replacement and asked the waitress. She gave me the number of the guy who owns the tank company they use. I got in contact with him and he said that they wanted to place him in the Orlando Airport tank. This guy knows what he is doing.

Next time I'm in Orlando, I hope I remember to visit him.

I don't own a sw tank, but I just was wondering if anybody actually has one of these. If so, what size is your tank? After this story, I can guess that they need at least a 300G tank.

I wonder if any insane fish keepers have like a sunfish or anything. Like some rich guy with a huge fetish for big SW fish. Or maybe one of these guys.

I think I've seen a pic of a young one at an public aquarium somewhere.
Just in case folks don't know what one is--it's a cousin of the puffer family:

I hope to dive with one someday!

Yeah, I think dive is the right word. Such huge creatures should be left out in the ocean, unless you're capable of reproducing their natural habitats. I remember readin' about an article in my local newspaper about how this guy keeps arapaimaS in his flat. NO BRAINER
