FIG 8 Puffer -NEEDS NEW HOME

Post by ash »

Hi There,

I have had a fig 8 puffer fish now for coming up to 3 years - He is a great fish.

My circumstances have however changed and i need to move house within the next 4 weeks.

Ideally i would prefer to give the fish away to a good home. I dont really like the idea of sending him back to the fish shop (that whole uncertain future for him?).

If there is anyone in the London area (UK) that would like to have him i am more than happy to give him away. The SG is currently at .005 and he is fat and healthy. He lives with 4 bumblebee gobies which i can give away too.

Not sure of the subscription to this site or the demographic. If anyone can help me i would appreciate it.

Kind Regards

Ash

Why can't he move with you? All he needs is a 15g tank.

Unfortunately i am moving to a temporary home and will not be staying there much.

I have always thought that if i had to move i would take him with me but on this occassion it is completely impractical.

If i was moving to a permanant home (for a number of years) i would definately take him. But only going to the next place for a few months then moving on - probably abroad.

Can't you convince a friend to fall in love with him?

I dont know about you, but whenever i have tried to convince my friends to get in to fish keeping they have all looked at me like i am an idiot!

Most people just cannot comprehend the joys of keeping an interesting fish.

Plus i dont have any friends

Hello M8. What part of London are you in. I'm in East london and have a brackish set up with 2 F8P and 3 GSP. Plenty of room for one more.

Just so you know GSPs and F8s need totally different conditions when older.

You might want to check our Pufferpedia for adult tank sizes & also the Library for an article in your GSPs.
