Does anyone know how long it takes these guys to become full grown ?

as with any species its related to space, frequency of feeding and quality of water. In a large tank they can be fed more and often as the large volume of water will dilute the waste. If wastes build up due to too small a tank or poor maintenance you will get stunting. I am talking in theory here though as overfeeing can cuase problems too
