DP with suspiciously big belly

Morning update:
Fidji is calmer and doesn't swim on his side this morning. I think he got scared when I opened the light in the living room yesterday night... He's back to being very swollen and I saw how he's weaker when swiming against the current from the filter. I've put epsom salt in the tank yesterday, anything else I can do for my little guy?

Update: Fidji is doing better. He's less swollen now but still a little slow. Concerning the swelling, he's almost back to normal. He's hunting a bit, but he's not too interested in the food I offer. I'm leaving the epsom salt in until he's back to normal.

If you guys have another course of action to suggest go ahead.

Sounds great! I'd give him a few days before pushing food on him, just to let everything go back to normal. His "guts" are probably still sore and irritated. Then start off with just a little food at a time.

My little guy seems to be out of trouble! He's back to his normal size and has started acting more like himself: he's been chasing the others out of his territory! I think he lost some self confidence though, he's not as bossy as he used to be! hehe. I must say one of the other puffer grew quite big (as in longer, not swollen!!!) while Fidji was sick and is now quite bigger than little Fidji. He's hunting and I see he's eating stuff I can't see, but he's still not interested in the bloodworms when I feed the others. Actualy there's only Palua (the big guy) who really likes bloodworms, Fidji and Borneo are not thrilled... no wonder Palua is growing so fast!! (since I have him (about 1 month) Fidji has never been very enthousiastic about the food I give)

So thanks to everybody! I'm so glad Fidji is back to normal! Just need to keep trying different foods until I find out what my 2 picky eaters like!

I wonder if fidji got bit during lights off or when you werent around, and he 'puffed', which caused the swelling?

I've seen my DP's fight, and one time a female bit another female, and she puffed (for a few seconds at most), though I never noticed any extended swelling like you have.

I was in school at the time so I didn't have much time to spend observing them.

I really think Fidji was bloated because over all it lasted almost 1 week. the epsom salt really helped. I've never seen the puffers fight for real, they just chase each other!
Fidji showed a lot of interest in bloodworms today!
Maybe he made a link between Palua is bigger than him and Palua eats lots of bloodworms! hehe
