New here, interested in bee puffers

Hello! I am currently setting up a 30g planted tank and my LFS has some beautiful bee puffers for sale. I would love to have a few, but I was wondering if these little guys can be kept successfully with cardinal tetras, oto cats, and cherry shrimp? Thanks for any input or suggestions.

Have a look in the pufferpedia to see if you can identify what your store is calling Bee puffers, advisory tank size per individual is in there as well, should help you out.

I think she meant dwarf puffers because they're small and are the size of a bee ??

The species appears to be colomesus asellus. Or, SAP.

Its always a risk to house puffers and fish together and an even bigger risk keeping puffers and shrimp together. If it is an SAP, they are known to get along with others better than other species of puffers but it depends on the individual puffer. But the cherry shrimp most likely would be a tasty snack.

If you do decide to risk it, no more than 2 of those puffers in a 30g.

I agreew with the others here. Confirm the ID and if definately SAP then I would go for no more than 2. However this could not work out if the puffers a re a bit feitsy and will most likely see the shrimp as a gourmet dish

Thanks everyone. After further thought and research I've decided against putting puffers in the 30g. In a few months I may set up a planted 12g with a dwarf puffer instead.
