Well we are up and running, I picked up three F8's yesterday and in 24hrs the scoured the 55 gal. and cleaned out all the snails.. it was quite interesting to watch.

Tonight they feasted on some ghost shrimp and more snails.

I'm going to let those three become cozy in the tank, and let the tank adjust to three new residents, over the next few weeks but after that I want to add. I'm thinking 5 BBg's, but when I was at the LFS I saw this goby I've never seen before. A butterfly goby, after some research I came across very little info, mostly that they are poisonous. I found a few ppl on here have posts referring to them but those are all a year or so old. I was wondering if anyone here had any more updated experience with these fish, the thing looked freaking cool and I want one, but want to make sure there is some success between them and F8's and/or BBGs'?

Butteffly goby isn't actually a goby usually, it's neovespicula depressifrons.

Is this the same fish?

Not personally, but I know of a few folks that have. It's essentially not a goby, but a venemous fish that won't eat flake food. Easy to maintain, just feed frozen foods (bloodworm, prawn etc) and be sure not to handle it. Maintained best in brackish water of around 1.005
