Re: Soooo excited!!!!! New Fahaka!!!
I am excited Ares has adjusted so well! We sure do miss him our daughter asked us where he went and we told her he went to live with a new family and she said I want to live here with you like we were going to find her a new home lol. Kids are pretty silly. Here is a good picture of Ares a few weeks...

Re: Puffer alone (HELP!)
I know my LFS will come feed and check my tanks for a fee. So far I haven't had to do that yet but I would much rather do that then leave my tanks unattended for two weeks.

Re: Green Spotted Puffer lethargic and not eating much
I am happy to hear that the Jungle brand "Tank Buddies" anti-parasite tablets are working for you. You may have to treat your little fish a few different times with small breaks in between to make sure all of the parasites are gone. I don't think I would mess with the gravel right now, you...

Re: new to live plants
Pufferpunk, that is a beautiful tank! I really love plant tanks. If your not sure about your lights I would try a java fern and then work your way up in difficulty. From what I can tell java ferns can grow about anywhere so if your java isn't doing well you will know something needs to change.

Re: Addicted to puffers
I am totally addicted to puffers. If Hierony and I had the money we would have our apartment full of tanks. RIght now we have 3 puffer tanks, a snail tank and a small fish tank for our daughter. Every time we go to the lfs and they have a new puffer I want to bring them home soooo bad.

Re: Figure 8 help Please
Kusuri Wormer Plus works well, if you put it in the water and soak the food in it then the fish shouldn't be able to tell it tastes bad since it is in the water too. I hope your Figure 8 gets better!

Re: New fahaka
I would try krill or a piece of shrimp. If that doesn't work try a worm, I don't have a Fahaka but our GSP loves them.
Re: Baths?
Sorry you lost one of you DPs. Hierony and I have had the same problem with our DPs. We started with 3 and now only have 1, but he finally looks healthy and round. How big are your DPs? If you are seeing the white stringy poop I think that means that the IPs are dying and coming out but I would keep...

Re: New Puffer
Peaches looked very scared. She seemed very angry with us but seems happy to be buried lol. Hopefully we can get her to come out tomorrow and eat! It was really funny the tank the store had her in had no substrate. She had been there for a few months so when we introduced her to our tank she swam ar...

Re: New Puffer
Biscuit is really cute and really fits the name! We haven't thought of a name yet, Hierony wants to name it after we see the little cutie! I am so excited to get the little guy home and see him bury himself for the first time. I agree that these are not the cutest puffers but I think they are super ...

Re: Plant Fertilizers Elevating Nitrites
I probably should have elaborated on the time of the tank. It has been running for about 3 months and about was cycled. At some point it was treated with an API Ich medication and it went into a re-cycle. After all the levels looked good, Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, and Nitrate: Above 0, we added a coup...
