I have a skimmer on my DT but not on the QT. You added Vitamin C in what form directly in the water of the QT?

Porc Puffer Has Marine Crypt
My Pocrupine puffer has Crypt. I'd post the obvious readings of my DT but I've been in the hobby for over 10 years and I know what Marine Ich looks like. I'm here for advice on treatment. With most fish I just QT them and hit them with copper but Porcs tend to be more sensitive than other fish. I'm ...

Re: Porcupine Puffer Mysterious Death
It's been forever since I posted this! But, to clarify I did cut him open back then and all I found was some pieces of shrimp in his gut. The GSP was eaten by my ghost eel which I found out later on. Perhaps the Porc ate too much and something happened inside of his intestine or my dwarf lionfish st...

Re: Porcupine Puffer Mysterious Death
Well, I thought about that myself but, I don't exactly wish to test my luck cutting open one of the most poisonous vertebrate in the world. The skin and other internal organs varying between species is highly toxic.

Re: Porcupine Puffer Mysterious Death
A friend of mine uses the algone pads and he has several puffers including a porc and a stars and stripes and his have been fine for years. If the pads were really bad I'm sure i'd see it effecting other fish. The pads have been in there for almost two weeks now. Including i've used them on other ta...

Tanks been cycled for about 3 years? It was cycled with Bio Spira and with a nice month of just sitting around along with the addition of a few hardy fish to get things started. Puffer Diet
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could tell me some good information on a porcupine puffers diet. I've had one for a couple months now and in the beginning he wouldn't eat anything but live shrimp. So, I started my own tank of ghost shrimp and fed the shrimp, pellets and marine algae until they w...

Re: Porcupine Puffer Color Loss
Afaik, nitrates at that level shouldn't harm a porc or any other puffer for that matter, since they're below 20ppm. Can you give more details about his environment? That is, tank size, tankmates, food offered and feeding schedule, etc. Is there a time of day when he reverts back to his golden color...

Porcupine Puffer Color Loss
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone here can help me out. A couple months ago I bought a Porcupine Puffer. His color was a beautiful gold and glowing white under his stomach when I purchased him. The first week in the tank his color stayed the same. But now weeks later his color has shifted to a ...
