Re: I Would "SAVE" all the GSPs If I Could At Walmart
This is what my Walmart has to say about their GSPs: Green spotted pufferfish are great community fish... accept all types of flake food... and dont grow very large. Sometimes I just wnna tell them about how their killing all these fish that they are selling, but I don't think that they would really...

Gone for a week. What to do?
Okay in two weeks I will be going on a cruise to alaska and will be gone for about ten days. I already have someone coming in to feed it about everyday, but I think it's a lot to ask of someone to come to your house twice a day to turn a light on and off. Do you guys have any suggestions or can I ju...

Re: Advice Needed On My New F8
[welcome] Congratulations on your new puffer. How big is he. Anyways, you should mostly feed them what they would eat in the wild: crunchy foods like shrimp and other small crustaceans and snails. Not only does this ensure a good food source for your puffer, but the hard shells also wear down it's co...

Re: What Fish Have You Kept With GSPs
Interestingly enough my GSP has worked best with a pair of Blue Damsels and an algae blenny in my 55g marine tank, and so far hes lived with a cleaner shrimp for 2 weeks and hasnt bothered it but im sure that will change when he gets larger(hes 3" now) unless he establishes some kind of relati...

Re: New GSP
Congradulations on your new "tenent". I'm sure that he will live a happy long life and talk a whole bunch. My GSP never talks to me .

Re: what type is this fish?!
That has to be the most beautiful fish I've ever seen and you should definately get it. I would get it in a heart beat if I had a few thousand $ for the tank
and if I had a few hundred for the fish

Is this Ghost Shrimp okay to feed to my GSP
Recently I bought four ghost shrimp from the LFS and fed all but one of them to my happy GSP. I didn't feed the fourth because it was smaller than the others and It' s abdomen was a milky white colour instead of the regular transparancy. Is this shrimp okay to use as a feeder or what.

Re: Overfeeding Puffers
My GSP lives in a tank with two giant danios and I feed him frozen brine shrimp and live ghost shrimp every once in a while and man... he eats... a lot. I used to feed him every day but his stomach would get huge, so now I feed him every other day. He begs a lot. He makes me want to cry every time I...

Can table salt temporarilly replace marine salt?
I have a tank set up for my GSP but it isn't brackish yet and I'm wondering if plain table salt could act as a temporary substitution until I get Marine salt (Probably this weekend).Does it act like marine salt. Is it toxic to fish? etc.

Re: Is my GSP stressed out?
To test the water, take a sample to the local fish store (LFS). As soon as you can, purchase your own test kit, preferably the liquid kind. API is a good brand. Did you cycle your tank? (Letting it run for a while isn't cycling - you have to add an ammonia source, etc.) The fish attendant at Pet Ex...
