Re: STARS AND STRIPES WITH STUFF STUCK ON HIM
Thanks guys he is growing so big he thinks he can get in holes he can no longer get in and I thought everything was secure but..... he found a way to knock it all down. Then he was so freaked out he halfway puffed on me, just for a second and then went right back down. So I took him out of the tank ...

STARS AND STRIPES WITH STUFF STUCK ON HIM
Hey yall my stars and stripes Archie has sand stuck all over his belly. Otherwise he is normal but it looks kind of stringy. Has anyone else had this experience with them? We had kind of an incident the other day when he got stuck in a cave in the bottom of the tank and knocked over the whole rock s...

Re: Can you keep Starfish with Marine Puffer?
I have a stars and stripes puffer, two chocolate chip starfish, two sand sifting star fishes, one horseshoe crab, and some polyp coral that I just "inherited" on my live rock . My puffer has never bothered any of my star fish, my chocolate have not bothered the coral. Like I said I did not...

Re: Sleeping?
My stars and stripes when he sleeps stands straight up and down like a tree trunk sometimes in between rocks and is lighter. It is funny because as he gets bigger he thinks he can get in spots that he used to be able to get in and he hangs out the sides but still gets in there, like "you cant s...

Re: SEA URCHINS AS PUFFER FOOD
I got a black urchin and so far he has not eaten it but he is watching it very carefully and sitting right next to it and giving it the eye. I will let yall know if he goes for it. He is hilarious.

Re: What should I do?
They have the cutest porcupine at a store by my house. I cant get him though cause I have the stars and stripes but they are so precious. Absolutely adorable. I hope to have my stars and stripes a good long while but will definitely get a porcupine at some point in my future.

SEA URCHINS AS PUFFER FOOD
Does anyone know can stars and stripes puffers eat sea urchins or rather should they? My local store said he would order me some small black needle ones and my puffer would love them? Dont they sting? Sounds weird to me? Anybody know?

Re: STARS AND STRIPES PUFFER
Thanks so much! He is still doing well. I bought an emerald crab at the pet store after watching the video of Elvis eating a crab and it did not even hit the sand. He went nuts!!!! He ate it in three bites. He loved it and was very excited and happy. Quite pleased with himself. He is in the tank alo...

STARS AND STRIPES PUFFER
Hey yall me again talking about my stars and stripes. I just have a couple of questions about their general behavior. He loves to stay up by where the protein skimmer water comes back out. He stays there almost all the time. He does swim around and eat but this is where is most of the time. He has a...

Re: Stars and stripes puffer with tank mates
Well I see a bigger tank in my future. He looks almost comical in the tank now as it is so big and all that is in there is him, some live rock, two snails he has not eaten yet and a couple of tiny crabs I bought when I first got him in case he would not eat, which has not been a problem. I wonder ho...

Re: Stars and stripes puffer with tank mates
Are you serious. How big does a porcupine puffer get? He is the one I was just in love with but felt not to do him a disservice and get the "smaller one" that the owner told me would stay small. UGH!!!!

Re: Stars and stripes puffer with tank mates
I am so glad you posted that. Archie does the same thing, he stays up under my intake for my skimmer and I worried something was wrong with him. If he is not there, he is under a rock, and he is not there he is eating. So this makes me feel somewhat better as I have worried something was wrong with ...

Re: Stars and stripes puffer with tank mates
Okay that makes a little bit more sense. I did not realize they grow that fast and of course they told me at the fish store he would be more than happy in the 125. That being said I will just hold off, see how he does, and then if I have to go up I can use the one I Have for a QT and then get a larg...

Re: Stars and stripes puffer with tank mates
Sorry forgot the 0 specific gravity is 0.0123. I think that is better. He is right now very tiny maybe three inches long. I am not sure how old he is but in the tank it looks like there is nothing in there. I have live rock but that is all. I have a few crabs in there that he has not found the need ...

Stars and stripes puffer with tank mates
Hey guys I am new to the forum so let me tell you how my weekend has gone. I have a small stars and stripes puffer that I have had for a little over two months. He is in a 125 gallon with pH 8.0, ammonia 0, nitrates 10, specific gravity 0.123. I have tried to be very careful with this guy and have h...
