Tank mates for Dwarf Puffer?
Hi all, I joined some time ago and got 2 dwarf puffers.. sadly the 'fear' that they were both boys may have been true as one dissappeared :? . I still have one left and he's doing fine - named him Hannibal after the other one went. But, I'm thinking a 2' tank for one dwarf puffer is a bit daft... so...

Re: made the descision -
Great pics!
Love the wood you have in there being so varied.
What size is the tank? And what lighting have you got for supporting the planting?
I know I sound nerdish now but I need to upgrade the lighting on the 2' DP tank. lol

Re: 2 Male DP's.. dilemma
thanks everyone. the goldfish are fancy and the reason we bought bigger tank for them was to give them space, happy for them to keep their home jist wondered if it was a solution.
Auto - will call LFS and use you if not happy with their answer. I can transport not a prob.

2 Male DP's.. update
Updated to say that they're now residing in 48 litres, and will hope that one doesn't have to move to Auto 8) but if it does then it will. Thanks all for your advice and support. Will post pics of tank soon. I'm really pleased with it, slate cave, rocks, plants, lots to break it all up. Hi everyone...

Re: Dwarf puffer feeding
Great post, I'm new to DP's too so have been 'guessing'.
There is a great thread in the general section on over feeding where they discuss 'routines' on feeding etc. Mainly it's seems advised to feed daily but miss 1 day a week.

Re: Dwarf Puffers
Auto - have been 'dunking' the block still partly frozen but allowing them to take a couple before withdrawing it to go to my leopard bush fish in the main tank. :) that way they get fresh without the need of the fridge. lol They're cute to feed aren't they! They really know it's me.. or well someon...

Myaj - lol I KNOW what that means and sadly have had to do it too! lol I have a gelding.. try and make it quick and painless for us both - I'm sure he blushes! lol I thaw blood worms out first but have found holding the 'block' while it's still a tidy bit frozen works so the puffers get the worms th...
