Re: gsp and marine conditions..
It can be done, has been done and I've been lucky enough to do it quite successfully. Yes I use RODI water because it's the only way to keep your corals - I don't think it will matter if it is a fish only tank. I have a 75 gallon reef tank with an HOB skimmer, 2 cannister filters (YES CANNISTER FILT...

Re: I Challenge You Not To Laugh At This!
That definitely wasn't the crab.. A lot of people say these little guys are mean tyo hermits and shrimp, but that hasn't been my experience at all.. Far from it.. In fact I'm going to make a thread right now of one of my puffers, who's in my reef tank, being cleaned by a skunk cleaner shrimp. ;)

Re: GSP and Marine tankmate compatibility...
Hey pufferpunk, thanks for the reply. As you can see I am very consciencious when it comes to providing space for the fish.. I am constantly upgrading.. one of my main reasons for consolidating the tank is to provide the puffers with a little more space since they are getting bigger. The tangs are f...

GSP and Marine tankmate compatibility...
Hey guys.. I have had my two gsp for a little over a year now. I started 1 of them (P-Diddy) in a 10 gallon tank when he was a baby.. With time I felt the P-diddy was a bit lonely so I half heartedly took the risk of buying a second gsp (Dorie). I say half-heartedly because i was real nervous about ...

Re: Need Advice in Getting a Fish To Eat
Hey how are you? Hope I'm not too late.. You can try "Garlic x-treme" by Kent... It really works wonders! I can't say enough about it. It's pretty much a food soak. You drop 1-3 drops in a little container (or shot glass like I do) and a little tank water and the food. Let it soad a couple...

Re: I need some help with my GSP..
Hey thanks for the responses guys. Any clue how big a clam/muscle/oyster, etc should be for my puffer who's about an inch and a half? Also, how do I serve it to him? Just crack it open? Boil it slightly? I haven't fed him any of those before. I have given him krill and those frozen mucles they sell ...

Can my GSP become a saltwater fish?....
I was just wondering if my GSP can become a full salt water fish? I read in a couple of places that if you very slowly raise the salinity that the GSP will actually do better in salt water rather than brackish water... Is this true? If so, what kind of companions would you all recommend? Any other k...

Re: I need some help with my GSP..
Thanks for your great responses guys. I adjusted the amount of food I feed him from 1 worm to one and a quarter worms per serving (2 servings a day) and he seems a lot happier (well at least his tummy is white more often than not for the past couple of days).. Maybe I wasn't feeding him enough?.. I ...

I need some help with my GSP..
Hey all, thanks for reading.. Ok here's the deal.. Every now and then my GSP will turn a bit dark around the sides of his belly (not the entire belly) and a little by is mouth. But the real wierd thing is that if I hang out next to him for a little bit (a couple of minutes), his entire tummy will tu...
