Chubby still only eats sporradically. I added some LR rubble and a simple (Cheap!) air powered skimmer from Ebay to help with his filtration. Well, i cracked it most of the way open, and dropped it in. He seemed to respond better to the mostly-open mussel as opposed to the half-shell variety

He didn't finish it all off though, so I might try to get him weened on to the half shell version.

Um...

Feeding mussels to my puffer. they're about 2" long and i've tried serving them on the half-shell, but he doesn't take to them as much... is it ok to server them to him partially open?

FYI- I did freeze them for a few days first.
