yah it was a different store then i normally go to, which I went to for the first time today, and the tanks were filthy and the fish looked bad, I just wanted to check some other stores, but I have still never bought any fish or equipment from anywhere but big als which I have always been happy with.

I was at a local fish store earlier and they had five figure 8 puffers in a tank and they all had ick. I could tell they were being treated by the bottle sitting under the tank but are they likely to recover and will they be healthy if I ask the store to save me some until the disease clears up? Ok that sounds great, and when I get my new tank I was planning to run both, so if worst comes to worst I can just keep them in the seperate tanks.

thats a relief but do you mean that they are poisonous if eaten by another fish?

I was wondering if A figure 8 puffer would survive in a tank with a peacock eel (small, only 6 inches) or if one or the other would be killed. Right now I only have a 20g put in 1-2 months im upgrading to a 35g.

I guy at a local pet store told me that the figure 8 puffers were poisonous so if I put them in with anything else they would kill all my fish, but I have done research now and have not seen anywhere where they are called poisonous so I was wondering if that was true.
