the only time ive seen a dp puff is when my female bit my male when i first introduced him. i was pretty scared, hes still got a little oval on his back today from it :\

I keep mine at about 1.005. And i don't think that platty's like salt but at a salinity that low they might not mind.

check craigslist if money is an issue, i got a 20 gallon with a working light, heater, substrate, power head, and filter for 40 bucks. my fig 8 is living in there now. I'd get alot of java fern too and look at some plants that will do well in brackish. so far my dwarf sag and val are doing pretty we...

they would swim upstream to multiply right? perhaps lowering the salinity to 0 would help? just my 2 cents, I am neither a gsp expert or necessarily a puffer expert

I should really just get your email and send you all my questions cp haha. and yes the tank has been cycled for about three weeks to a month, it was pretty lifeless except for my molly and the three bbg's. thanks for the tips on feeding on the dp forum
