Yeah, I got my fahaka puffer like 3-4 weeks ago and he just started swimming a few days ago... I felt so bad for the little guy but now he seems very happy!

Id rather take all percautions, i dont want to kill my puffer and im really new to fish in general. The chiclids are my first fish and ive only had them 3 months.

I am happy to say that yesterday Oliver, my puffer, finally was swimming the tank with the chiclids. He looked so happy. He was everywhere and he opened his tail pretty often, its beautiful. I dont know what changed but i hope he stays that way!

Ok i got a liquid test kit today and everything tested great all levels were at 0 and the Ph was about 7.4 . There was not a specific alkalinity test but im to assume that if the Ph is normal the alkalinity should be too. Thanks all. I was going crazy trying to get my tank in order. I wish i would h...

Im setting up my tank friday and im still not sure what im going to use. I typed the aragonite sand into google and everything poped up with saltwater. Is it the same sand for both fresh and sw tanks? I think i may go with that because i would like to give him the option to burry himself. Also what ...

I believe it is called quick dip.. its a 5 in one reading that we got at petsmart. They use the same ones there is they test your water for you. It reads... Nitrate about 60 nitrite 1.0 total hardness 75 alkalinity 300 + Ph 7.4 We have been using amquel plus to bring down the nitrate and nitrite and...

I did a water change 1 week ago about 40%. I had not really been changing it much with my chiclids, but i want to make sure everything is a ok for my puffer. We are getting his 150g this week, how long do you think i should let everything filter etc before introducing him to it?

My alkilinity in my tank is way off the chart. I went to the lfs and asked if there was anything i could do/use to help with it. They told me only time. Is this true? My tank has been set up for a couple months now.
