The aquarium has been set up for years. Ive run out of test strips but I just did our regularly scheduled water change.... so I'm assuming water quality is within normal parameters. I usually dont use a dechlorinator - I add salt and mix for at least 24hrs before adding to the tank. The chlorine will evaporate off. I used dechlorinator today because Im panicing and the Nitrates were 40ppm.
