I'd say it's safe to say, no. The insanity of trying to get something else to live in there isn't worth the torment to the endless amount of tankmates you keep trying.

A friend owned a bar that had a pond with Chinese algae eaters in there. About 3 in one pond, and 2 in the other. (rather small ponds actually, and yes, real ponds)

They were HUGE!

Feed them once a day until their belly is slightly rounded, but not protruding or swollen. Pretty much keep feeding snails or something that will grind down their teeth.

Yeah, I have read up on some of it already about turning it brackish if that is the route I go. Fahaka's are somewhat rare in my area, maybe another will show up online. SAPs would be ideal, I would love to have 6 or 7 swimming around my tank, but I have never seen them online and they are non-exist...

well I thank you for the support. I'm looking through hospital forum and am thinking, "I feel bad even giving advice. Since I couldn't even take care of my own puffer."

The redtail shark is harmless, he hides ALL DAY and comes out at night to rummage for food. I can't say it is impossible, but I see it as being very unlikely. There's always the chance that it could have happened. And then the pleco, is of course harmless. Again, a possibility, but not very likely.

It's always discouraging, I hear they are tough to keep, but I have great filtration, water parameters are great.... I don't know. He still hasn't shown up in what has now been 5 days. I have to go looking for him. I can't imagine he has been hiding that long. I haven't fed him in 2 days. Figure he would at least come out in search of food.

There are a tons of small snails in there though.

Read through the pufferpedia. Go to the FW puffer. Click on the Colomesus Asellus (a.k.a. SAP)... Has a lot of good info. The puffer library is loaded as well.

I would say no, she needs a much bigger tank.
