Bad news everybody. its been two weeks now and the eggs have not hatched.

Hopefully it won't be to long before I can have another go. I am a bit more geared up for it next time.

I will keep you updated.

I have organised a borrowing of a decent camera.

I have a sample of the water. I haven't measured the perams yet. Yes my camera is rubbish. The pics of the eggs were taken on my phone. I need a new digi cam.

They should only be a couple of days from hatching now

I am basing the hatch times around the same sort of time for Arrowheads. so about 4 days left now.

I will of course stick up some pics when they have hatched.

I have taken some pics of the eggs I have removed. Taken with my phone so not great but you get the idea.

I have seen the mating behavour a two or three times now. They both develop white patches all over their body and do a little dance. This is the first time I have seen eggs. I am quickly putting together a fry tank as we speak.

I am not sure whether to remove the eggs or leave them with the parents.

My male is now sitting in the back of the cave and not coming out for anything, food or otherwise. My females behavior has also changed becoming much more active and eating more.

It may mean nothing but heres hoping.

He has excreated it all now and is back to normal shape.

Has anyone had their Puffer eat gravel. My Leuirus has. I wasn't sure a first, I have changed to sand now and have seen deposits of neat piles of gravel on the sand. Not the greatest pic but you get the idea.

Is it some thing to do with aiding digestion or just hunger.

They do look good and healthy all about 4", I would say some may be Cambodgiensis. Alot of them said sold to collect on the glass so I would be quick.

I have seen the ones at Wildwoods and they definatly have the long noses. The pics on TFF are from the site not uploaded from the store.

I am even more confused now. I think mine looks like the shorted nose Cambodgiensis.

Any thoughts?

That nose does look much longer than my puffer.
