Re: how to train the puffer on pellets (my methods)

I have to call shenanigans on this post, what if any is the point? There is never a reason to feed pellets to a puffer, large or small. They probably don't taste as good as real food, there is no such thing as a puffer designed pellet so probably nutritionally inadequate, feeding time is excitement...

Re: how to train the puffer on pellets (my methods)

Just last week i decided to try feeding my fahaka some hikari pellets but i had no hope that he would take a liking to them and have them added into his diet but i was very delighted to find out otherwise. :D I got my fahaka to eat pellets on Day 2. Day 1: he took a bite and didnt seem interested at...

Re: Nooki's Growth Rate

I got mine during mid june, measuring 2-2.5 inches. Its exactly 3 and a half months now. He's exactly at 5.5 inches. So that makes 3 to 3.5 inches in 3 and a half mths. He's been growing short of at an inch/mth until recently he got into a growth spurt. Seem to grow half an inch in a week plus. He n...

Re: My Fahaka & tankmates Setup with pics comments welcome :)

thanks all. The fishes are all still pretty juvenile and so far aggression is at minimum. They get along pretty well and dont really pay attention to one another, even during feeding. The loaches pick off food at the fahaka's mouth even but im crossing my fingers and hope they dont get in between it...

Re: Fahaka's and tank mates

my tank is full of java ferns, windelovs and anubias. nana. They are all great low-maintainence plants. I've managed to house my fahaka with small fishes like danios, Siamese algae eaters and a couple of minnows. I dare not try any large fish or anything that i think might be an easy target (corydor...

Re: Tank for Fahaka

Hi Hilly, thanks for advice. I forgot to add that it's a 2nd hand tank that i bought from a guy that advertised his tank online. He seem really nice, sincere and polite until 'this' happened. I don't know any way to take legal action against him or whatsoever. I only have his name, email and cellphon...

Re: Tank for Fahaka

Hi guys, i'm gonna give a little update on my tank. I'm so dismayed that the tank has been damaged during the moving. The seller got a couple of guys to help transport and move the tank into my room. The tank has this water inlet/outlet valve as the bottom corner for ease of water change. Ok, so her...

Re: Tank for Fahaka

I've decided to take the 4x2x2 120gal tank anyhow. I'm gonna try to get it into my house through the corridor window. It's gonna be tough as the tank is 12mm thick, i'm cynical about bringing it through the window. Wish me luck!

Tank for Fahaka

Hi guys, i've a problem. I was about to get a 4ft x2ft x2ft 120 gallon tank for my 4" Fahaka puffer but just realized that the other half of my door gate could not be ledge open. I tried all ways to get it open, some thick iron rod beneath it got stuck in concrete floor. The small gap between t...

Re: My Fahaka miracle!

Thanks for the advice. :) Emo's doing well now. He looks perfectly healthy and his appetite has gotten better! I'm really delighted at how things have turned out for emo and myself in just one day.

Well thanks again for the advice and concern! Will post up a picture of him soon!
